Who You Are

We are seeking a Software Support Engineer who will manage complex software escalations for our high‑priority ESAP platform. If you love technology and want to join an industry leader, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Your key responsibilities are to provide technical support to Geotab clients, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders. You will resolve technical challenges, maintain customer satisfaction, and contribute to continuous product improvement.

  • Provide timely and effective support to internal and external stakeholders, resolving issues related to software or embedded products.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Anticipate potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Identify trends through data analytics and support tools.
  • Monitor applications and systems for performance, and take proactive measures to ensure stability.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to provide feedback and identify improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, focusing on their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Engage in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge of Geotab products.
  • Support global strategic initiatives.
  • Provide on‑site support to resellers and customers when applicable.
What You'll Bring To

The Role
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues across hardware and software platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power Shell, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis and visualization.
  • Strong customer service principles and a commitment to delivering exceptional support.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage fast‑changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong team player who can collaborate across functions.
  • Experienced with Google Workspace and other business tools.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a flat organization, and willing to drive improvements.
  • Continuous lawful residency in the continental United States for at least three years (exceptions may apply to U.S. citizens).
  • Ability to pass an enhanced background check, including drug and credit checks where required.
