Remote IT Technician

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Remote IT Technician to join our tech‑savvy team. If you are passionate about troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and delivering exceptional support, this is the role for you!

Position Overview

As a Remote IT Technician at Nebulon Dynamics Limited, you will play a critical role in maintaining the performance and security of our IT infrastructure. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, providing timely support and implementing effective solutions to ensure the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities Technical Support
  • Provide remote technical support to employees, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist with system installations, upgrades, and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, including VPN and remote desktop problems.
  • Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.
System Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform routine updates, patch management, and security protocol enforcement.
  • Assist in maintaining cloud‑based systems and ensuring seamless integrations across platforms.
  • Conduct regular system backups and data recovery tests.
  • Log and track technical issues using ticketing systems like Jira or Service Now.
  • Prioritize and elevate critical issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Document solutions and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
Cybersecurity
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and best practices.
  • Identify potential vulnerabilities and assist in implementing preventive measures.
  • Educate staff on security protocols, such as phishing awareness and password best practices.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless project execution and resolution of complex issues.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third‑party support teams for hardware and software issues.
  • Provide end‑user training on IT tools and systems to enhance productivity.
Qualifications and Requirements Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with troubleshooting networking systems (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and cloud‑based storage systems.
  • Knowledge of remote support tools such as Team Viewer, Any Desk, or Log Me In .
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper‑V.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies.
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in an IT support or technician role.
  • Experience working remotely and supporting distributed teams is a plus.
Education
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a strong plus.
Soft Skills
