Job Description The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through thorough testing and validation. Working closely with cross‑functional teams—developers, business analysts, and project managers—the candidate will identify test requirements, design and execute test plans, and help deliver high‑quality software products. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.

Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Remote position; may require occasional onsite meetings in McLean, VA.
  • Eligible to work from AZ, DC, FL, GA, OH, ME, MD, SC, TX, UT, VA, NC, OK, WV.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least four years of experience in software testing or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques.
  • Experience with test management and bug‑tracking tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, or similar.
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.
  • Familiarity with security and performance testing.
Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Design
    :
    Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Test Execution
    :
    Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Defect Management
    :
    Record and document test results, report defects using bug tracking tools, collaborate with developers, and perform retesting of resolved issues.
  • Collaboration
    :
    Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure understanding of requirements and align on test objectives; participate in project meetings to provide updates.
  • Continuous Improvement
    :
    Stay updated with industry trends and best practices; seek opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Documentation
    :
    Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, results, and defect reports; ensure clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation ranges from $98,244 to $112,713 per year.
