Our Senior Service Now Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and customizing Service Now applications and solutions to meet business requirements. The developer writes and maintains scripts, creates workflows, and configures Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, and SPM. They work closely with business analysts and other technical teams to ensure that the platform integrates smoothly with existing systems and processes.
Additionally, the Sr. Service Now Developer performs tests, debugs, and ensures the platform’s functionality aligns with user needs and organizational goals.
Salary Range: $115,000 ~ $130,000. The base pay offered may vary within this range based on job‐related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.
Hybrid Work: Our first consideration is to have this new employee live in Wisconsin to take advantage of hybrid work and collaboration. Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI) will be expected to work hybrid 3 days a week on a regular basis. As a secondary consideration, remote work is offered in the following approved states:
Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin. If not regionally local to Madison, WI, frequent monthly travel to our WPS Headquarters will be expected.
- US citizenship is required due to Department of Defense restrictions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of experience as a Service Now developer and/or Service Now System Administrator.
- Solid knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, and SPM modules and custom applications; demonstrated experience developing, configuring, and maintaining Service Now solutions.
- Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Actions for custom development and integrations.
- Experience integrating Service Now using REST, SOAP, and other web services; capable of configuring and maintaining integrations.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Service Now applications and platform configurations.
- Familiarity with Agile environments, using tools like Jira, ADO, and Service Now for managing user stories, sprints, and deliverables.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- 7 or more years of experience in software development roles.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) required;
Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, IRM, Sec Ops, or WSD).
