Job DescriptionAs a Senior Medical Economics Analyst at Guidehealth, you will shape how data drives healthcare transformation. You will work directly with health plans and internal leaders to uncover the story behind the numbers—connecting analytics to action that improves patient outcomes and financial performance. This is a high‑impact role for a seasoned analyst who thrives on solving complex problems, influencing decisions, and turning insight into measurable results.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Develop advanced analyses of health plan and employer data to identify opportunities that enhance care quality, provider performance, and cost efficiency
- Translate data into actionable strategies that support value‑based care, population health, and operational excellence
- Partner with internal teams and clients to refine analytic requirements, ensuring each deliverable drives real‑world results
- Build repeatable, intuitive reports and dashboards that highlight trends, benchmarks, and performance improvement areas
- Present insights and recommendations to clinical, operational, and executive audiences with clarity and confidence
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Guidehealth’s analytics infrastructure, tools, and data storytelling methods
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or health plan performance analysis
- Strong understanding of value‑based care concepts, including utilization management, quality improvement, and risk adjustment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Deep SQL expertise, including experience with Postgre
SQL and AWS Redshift, and ability to design, optimize, and validate complex queries across large datasets - Proficiency in one additional programming language (Python, R, etc.) for data visualization and statistical analysis
- Exceptional ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Comfort working in a fully remote environment while maintaining strong relationships across teams
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for collaboration and presentations
- Experience analyzing employer health plan performance and payer risk contracts
- Familiarity with actuarial concepts such as IBNR and financial reporting under shared‑savings or risk‑based arrangements
- Experience with Arcadia Analytics, AWS Quick Sight, or similar data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Jira, Git Hub, or CI/CD processes supporting data and analytics development
- Experience leveraging AWS tools to automate reporting, analytics, and insight delivery

Base pay range $ – $ per year, paid bi‑weekly. Final base pay decisions depend on factors such as skill set, years of experience, education, location, and licensure or certifications.
