Overview
Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Mainframe Systems Analyst in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package. Please note we are unable to provide sponsorship or work c2c for this role.
Responsibilities- This position is responsible for supporting enhancements and new capabilities to an existing, critical, mainframe-based business application within the Claims applications space.
- As a systems analyst, bring strong experience performing Systems Analysis for various projects and build a backlog of systems requirements that can be assigned to various developers.
- Ensure reviews of the requirements, designs, code and help plan SIT and UAT testing as well as releases.
- Work closely with the business team comprising business analysts, business owners, QA team and IT team members such as Applications Architects, Developers, product and project managers, and other team members.
- Mentor and guide developers and ensure delivery with high quality.
- Bachelor Degree and 4 years Information Technology OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 6-year Information Technology experience OR 8 years Information Technology experience.
- Knowledge of mainframe application development & configuration
- Knowledge of mainframe technologies: COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, Batch jobs and Procedures
- Experience with Source Code management tools like Endevor
- Knowledge of code deployments and SIT / UAT across Test, Cycle and Production environments
- Inter-testing with various applications
- Exposure to integration with various applications
- Requirements analysis, Systems Analysis and Developing Logical & Physical designs
- SDLC Methodology/ Optimized Waterfall.
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development
- Problem solving and analytical thinking
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Deep Application Development experience on mainframe side
- Ability to execute projects against tight timeframe
- Knowledge of Claims processing, Claims Applications and Components
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with concurrent projects
