We have a fast‑growing, distributed team with offices in San Francisco and New York City, built on years of experience at leading tech companies such as Uber, Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lyft, and Twitter.

• Collaborate with Delivery/Engagement Managers, pre‑sales, and Account teams to understand customer needs and business requirements/objectives.
• Design, architect, and implement Tecton solutions that are set up for success in production.
• Contribute to the creation of a project plan, including detailed steps and timelines, to provide visibility internally and externally on project status.
• Drive consensus on technical decisions quickly and effectively, while keeping timeline and scope of work on track.
• Act as a product expert, driving material impact and contributions back to the business, influencing customer needs and potential product improvements.

• 4+ years of experience in a technical sales or consulting capacity with enterprises, focusing on complex solution sales of mission‑critical data systems (databases, data warehouses, big data systems, analytics, and/or machine learning).
• Deep technical understanding of data engineering and AI/ML tooling, workflows, and trends in an enterprise setting.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, and/or SQL with experience developing ETL applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with comfort in objection handling.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and other cloud providers.
• Databricks and/or Snowflake experience is a major plus.

The estimated US salary range for this position is $195,000 - $269,000 annually for employees based within California & New York. This role is eligible to participate in Tecton’s Commission Plan and the estimated total on‑target annual earnings is $169,000 - $266,000 OTE. Individual compensation packages are based on multiple factors such as location, level, role scope, and complexity, as well as additional job‑related factors such as skills, experience, and expertise.

Tecton is a remote‑friendly company that employs a hybrid working policy for employees based in the SF, NY, and Seattle areas. We believe that working in‑person helps us stay connected, collaborate faster, and promote a strong culture while still providing the flexibility of working from home. We expect SF & NY employees to be in the office at least two designated days per week, and those in the Seattle area at least two designated days per month.
