Clearance Required: Active DoD SECRET preferred
Travel: Up to 25%

Spry Squared is looking for a Principal Architect to coordinate the implementation of a DMZ at military bases in Colorado and California. This will include the equipment deployment/installation, configuration/migration/soak, and post-installation support. This will be a parttime effort, estimated at 10 hours per week to coordinate the on-site resources to complete this project. Travel maybe required to kickoff the effort and coordinate the on-site resources.

As the Principal Architect on this project, you will:

• Architect and coordinate the installation, configuration, and migration of a DMZ based on Palo Alto 5220 firewalls at 2 military bases.
• Manage the project deliverables, timelines, and 2 resources (Network Engineer and Firewall SME) to complete the implementation.
• Provide timely updates on project deliverables and issues to all stakeholders.
• Other duties as needed.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 15 years of networking and firewall experience
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PA5220) and designing/managing a DMZ using Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF)
• Previous IT lead/management experience
• Strong communication skills
• Active DoD SECRET Clearance preferred

Rate: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour no benefits, depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
