Test Engineer II (Remote)

Software Test Engineer – an integral role within Silicon Valley Bank’s IT testing organization, responsible for ensuring high quality delivery of software products to clients.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in AZ, FL, GA, NC, and TX. The role focuses on test design, planning, and execution across multiple global projects while collaborating with teams worldwide.

• Responsible for overall quality of IT projects and changes through execution of all aspects of the Software Development and Testing Life Cycle.
• Lead, develop, monitor, and execute test activities for projects and department initiatives.
• Work closely with development and business partners to ensure timely collaboration and issue resolution.
• Review and understand project or application requirements.
• Prepare test documentation, including test strategy, test plan, test summary report, test cases, defects, and daily status reports.
• Manage and create test data while adhering to PII rules.
• Coordinate with globally distributed teams to support continuous test execution across time zones.
• Facilitate daily triage/scrum meetings and manage defect closure.
• Assist in building, configuring, and managing test environments.
• Monitor environmental impact, communicate potential risks, and provide mitigation plans.
• Provide requirement traceability metrics.
• Implement test automation using current frameworks and tools.
• Demonstrate thought leadership by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing creative solutions.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in systems engineering and/or systems programming OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience in systems engineering and/or systems programming.

• 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming using OOP concepts.
• 3+ years of experience testing mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Hands‑on experience with Selenium Web Driver.
• Strong client‑server, web, and mobile QA experience.
• Good SQL skills (Oracle/Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Experience testing APIs with Postman and automating API testing.
• Relevant experience testing native/hybrid mobile applications.
• Experience with mobile automation (Appium) preferred.
• Defect tracking via JIRA and automation testing tools for functional regression and system testing.
• Root cause analysis and defect diagnosis skills.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and iterative SDLC practices.
• Ability to streamline testing processes by introducing automation.
• Solid domain knowledge in digital banking applications.
