OverviewEY seeks a Senior Manager in Technology practice to lead SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) engagements, working with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations related to DMC. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions. This role requires strong client leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on quality and risk management.
Responsibilities- Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships daily, focusing on DMC-related initiatives.
- Oversee program/project management to ensure engagement economics and delivery of DMC solutions.
- Develop resource plans and budgets for complex engagements involving DMC.
- Lead large-scale SAP client engagements or work streams with a focus on DMC, aligned with client objectives.
- Demonstrate deep technical capabilities within DMC and maintain strong business acumen, staying updated on industry trends.
- Deliver high-quality client services by monitoring progress, managing risks, and communicating expected outcomes to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with client personnel at all levels to foster collaboration and trust in EY SAP DMC initiatives.
- Direct and motivate diverse teams, provide feedback and coaching, and foster an innovative and inclusive work environment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding EY’s service lines and client needs in the DMC space.
On typical engagements, you will work with stakeholders to understand needs, gather requirements, architect solutions, blueprint, test, and document the workflow and functional design of the DMC solution. You will translate needs into business solutions, coordinate with technical teams for configurations and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology requirements for DMC.
- Ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios related to DMC implementations.
- Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture within the Digital Manufacturing Cloud space.
- Excellent communication skills to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree;
Master’s degree preferred. - Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) within Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC).
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
- Experience managing SAP projects or work streams, including onshore/offshore team oversight.
- Proficiency in supply chain best practices within DMC with benchmarking and advisory experience in related functions.
- Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies.
- Willingness to travel up to 40-60% to meet client needs.
- Experience in technology cost-benefit analyses and familiarity with technology business architecture frameworks.
- Experience in training design and delivery.
- Prior consulting experience with DMC specialization.
- SAP certifications.
- Experience as a workstream/team lead for manufacturing with SAP.
- Experience with multiple full lifecycle SAP ERP implementations (ECC and/or S/4
HANA) focusing on PP and DMC. - Experience integrating SAP PP with MES, QM, EWM, and DMC.
- Hands-on SAP PP configuration experience and UI/RICEF development and testing.
