Join Ninja One as the Senior Director of Platform Engineering. In this high‑impact leadership role, you’ll shape the evolution of the Ninja One Platform—guiding how we build, scale, and deliver our products to customers worldwide.

We’re looking for a strategic, execution‑focused leader with deep experience delivering software at scale, a passion for exceptional customer experiences, and a strong track record of platform innovation.

Location:

Flexible remote work from home for US residents in the following states – CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, ME, MA, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA. Hybrid options available at our Austin, TX or Tampa, FL offices.

Required technical context:
Ninja One is built on Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang and Postgres, running as a scalable cloud service in AWS. Experience with large‑scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design and client‑server architecture is highly desirable.

• Serve as our subject matter expert for all cloud and platform matters.
• Collaborate with Development, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, IT, Compliance, and Security teams to manage, develop and grow the platform globally.
• Contribute to market positioning strategy, identify architectural concepts needed to expand globally and improve resiliency.
• Own product requirements to prioritize features that scale Ninja One globally.
• Design and build robust services to meet Ninja One SLOs.
• Grow and manage the Platform team to support Ninja One’s products.
• Ensure governance and commitment to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOX, SOC‑2, NIST 800‑53 rev 5.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive efficiency in our SDLC process.
• Help manage and mitigate runaway cloud infrastructure costs.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• 10+ years of experience as a Dev Ops, SRE, IT Systems Engineer within a product organization.
• Extensive knowledge of CI/CD, Cloud IaaS, development frameworks, and integrating off‑the‑shelf tools to enable SaaS scaling.
• 3+ years experience working in Federal or Gov Cloud environments.
• Success working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced product organizations with a development‑first mindset.
• Hands‑on experience leading, growing, and managing Dev Ops/SRE/IT Systems Engineering teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Innovative, creative, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of charting new territories and tackling new initiatives.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred.

This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship. Due to operational policies, we are unable to hire for this role within the Chicago city limits; we will consider qualified candidates residing outside the city or willing to self‑relocate.

Starting pay depends on location, market demands, experience and other factors. For California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington, the base salary range is $225k–$350k per year. For New York, the range is also $225k–$350k per year.
