Job Title: Lead HR Information Systems Analyst - UKG

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Location: Remote work, occasional travel to Massachusetts.

About the Role

The Lead HR Information Systems Analyst serves as Tufts Medicine’s senior technical and functional expert for UKG, focusing on UKG Advanced Scheduler and workforce management optimization across the health system. The role leads complex system initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and partners with operational and clinical stakeholders to ensure UKG supports staffing efficiency, compliance, and cost reduction.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Seven (7+) years of experience supporting UKG Pro WFM, with significant hands‑on experience in UKG Advanced Scheduler.
  • Experience leading complex system configurations, upgrades, and cross‑functional implementations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and translating operational needs into system solutions.
  • Experience working with payroll, timekeeping, and integrations in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Ten (10+) years of experience supporting UKG Pro WFM, with significant hands‑on experience in UKG Advanced Scheduler.
  • UKG Pro WFM Advanced Scheduler certification(s).
  • Experience in a multi‑hospital or large health system with union environments.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the system owner and subject‑matter expert for UKG Advanced Scheduler, including schedule templates, staffing matrices, self‑scheduling, shift differentials, labor distribution, and fatigue management.
  • Lead optimization of scheduling workflows to support nursing, clinical departments, support services, and centralized staffing teams.
  • Partner with Clinical Operations and other leaders to align scheduling practices with staffing policies, union rules, and productivity targets.
  • Oversee configuration and testing for new scheduling features, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Lead complex configuration work within UKG Pro WFM modules including Timekeeping, Accruals, Attendance, and related WFM components.
  • Coordinate release management, including configuration changes, regression testing, and migration activities.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalated support for critical scheduling and timekeeping issues.
  • Deliver system training and guidance for leaders, superusers, and schedulers.
  • Ensure data integrity and audit readiness for scheduling, punch data, pay rules, and labor allocation.
  • Support operational dashboards and staffing metric development.
  • Uphold system governance standards and change‑control processes.
  • Lead validation and QA cycles, ensuring business rules are correctly maintained.
  • Model continuous improvement, user‑centric design, and system stewardship.
Physical Requirements
  • Professional office environment with computer, phone, photocopier, filing cabinets, etc.
  • Primarily sedentary role, involving sitting most of the time but may require walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, and operating office equipment.
  • Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate and exchange information.
  • Able to see and read computer displays, fine print, and normal type‑size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Skills & Abilities
  • Significant knowledge of the Human Resource function.
  • Skills in process improvements relative to Human Resource operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to complete high‑priority projects and activities with time‑sensitive deadlines.
