• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Location: Prefer local to Colorado Springs, CO but will consider remote work with travel to bases as needed.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Clearance Required: Active DoD SECRET preferred
• Travel: Up to 25%

Spry Squared is looking for a Network Engineer to assist withthe implementation of a DMZ at military bases in Colorado (Shriever) and California (Vandenberg). This will include the equipment deployment/installation, configuration/migration/soak, and post-installation support. This will be a parttime effort, with fulltime work on-site at the bases (6 weeks) and then parttime remote support (10 hours/week) for the remainder of the project duration (total of 19 weeks).Travel

required for installation and configuration project phases.

As the Network Engineer on this project, you will:

• Install, configure, and support all network routing and switching systems needed to implement and migrate toa DMZ based on Palo Alto 5220 firewalls at 2 military bases.
• Participate actively on the project team to complete assigned tasks and collaborate on delivering a high quality implementation.
• Provide timely updates on project deliverables and issues to all stakeholders.
• Other duties as needed.

• Minimum of 10 years of networking engineering (routing/switching) experience
• Experience with Virtual Routing and Forward (VRF), VRF route-leaking, and Virtual Private Cloud configuration.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PA5220) a plu
• Experience with Enterprise Services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Previous government contracting experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Active SECRET Clearance preferred, but if not, must have a VAR submitted

Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour no benefits, depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
