APEX Technology Support Engineer (Machine Control Technician)

McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a APEX Technology Support Engineer (Machine Control Technician).
The Technology Support Engineer is responsible for the after-sale performance and technical support of all Smart Grade™ and integrated grade control equipped machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):- Support construction sites for automated machine control and construction layout
- Support, diagnose and repair Smart Grade™ and related grade control issues.
- Communicate effectively with John Deere, General Manager and Territory Managers in your respective area to promote, demo train and sell Smart Grade™ machines.
- Complete & maintain all OEM and government certifications expected or required.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Technology, Marketing discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Proven track record using Topcon & Trimble Machine Control in construction projects.
- Experience in construction layout utilizing GNSS or Robotic Total Stations, including the interpretation of site blueprints and the implementation of construction workflows.
- Familiarity with Topcon, Trimble, and/or Lecia technologies.
- Passion for technology and heavy equipment, with a drive to learn and stay current on industry advancements.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively train individuals and small groups on technical concepts and procedures.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory (Up to 75%) AOR in Louisville KY, Owensboro KY, or Evansville IN.
- $50,000-$65,000 Base wage + commission.
- Paid Time Off—80 Hours in the first year!
- Remote position – working 1 day per week in hired dealership.
