About the RoleThe KYC (Know Your Customer) Technology Team at Binance is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our globally distributed team. As part of this team, you'll help develop and maintain a cutting-edge platform that ensures seamless and secure onboarding experiences for millions of users. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely and be at the forefront of blockchain compliance innovation, including the responsible use of AI/ML in regulatory technologies.
KeyResponsibilities
- Convert business requirements into scalable backend services with clean code and effective tests.
- Initiate and execute system performance tuning, debugging, and incident resolution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Promote best engineering practices and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience building high-performance distributed applications.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with MySQL and familiarity with at least one No
SQL database. - Sound knowledge of distributed systems design and messaging middleware (e.g., Kafka, Rabbit
MQ). - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working remotely with teams across different time zones.
- Hands-on experience in JVM tuning, SQL optimization, or RPC performance.
- Familiarity with KYC, AML, or regulatory compliance systems.
- Interest in AI/ML applications within the compliance or fintech space.
