About the Role
We’re seeking a Host Provisioning Specialist to join our Airlines Account Provisioning Team
. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing and supporting host resources within the mainframe environment (SHARES, SPERRY UNIVAC, MVS). You’ll handle system configurations, manage host addressing, and provide advanced support for proprietary and common-use workstation resources.
This position involves coordination with multiple technical teams and requires excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with configurations for internal moves, adds, and changes of host resources (SHARES, SPERRY UNIVAC, MVS).
- Maintain accurate tracking of all host resources tied to hostnames.
- Resolve host resource issues and incident tickets from Service Desk, providing detailed and timely updates.
- Reclaim host addressing per published processes and procedures.
- Manage printer drivers and profiles for the airline’s fleet of MFP printers.
- Provide Level 3 phone support to Field Services, ESP Technicians, FSTS Tech Support, Unimatic Coverage, Service Desk, and the NOC.
- Deliver priority support to NOC, including occasional off‑hours provisioning via VPN to ensure operational continuity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with Sperry UNIVAC / UNIMATIC resources and familiarity with updating SILAS master files.
- Proficient in Service Now
, including building reports and dashboards. - Advanced Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Suite proficiency.
- Basic Power Shell scripting knowledge.
- Experience with Vaison Print Logic preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with PC printers and peripheral hardware.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem‑resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be reliable, detail‑oriented, and proactive in resolving issues.
