Kronia® is looking for a Data Scientist with strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Statistics to support data-driven decision-making and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and capable of translating complex data into actionable insights. This role will require a temporary adjustment to an evening work schedule during the initial knowledge transition period. The Data Scientist will work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure continuity, reliability, and accuracy in the data pipeline and models.

You’ll be doing:

  • Analyzing large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Writing advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across multiple sources.
  • Building statistical models and applying machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
  • Using Python to automate data processes, conduct exploratory analysis, and build predictive solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and stakeholders, to define analytical requirements and deliver insights.
  • Preparing clear visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Supporting the knowledge transfer process during the initial 2–3 months by aligning with a colleague currently covering the evening shift.

The skills you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL: writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with relational databases.
  • Advanced Python skills for data analysis, automation, and model development.
  • Solid foundation in Statistics: hypothesis testing, regressions, probability distributions, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Python-based libraries like Matplotlib/Seaborn).
  • Proven ability to communicate analytical results clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Fluent English and Good Communication Skills to interact with global teams.

    This is a fully remote role open to candidates located anywhere in LATAM.
  • Work Schedule:

    -Initial 2–3 months:
    Evening shift required to ensure a smooth knowledge transition.

    - Working hours:

    2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Central Time (CT USA)
    -After transition, working hours can be adjusted to align with standard LATAM business hours, depending on project needs.
