DevOps Engineer

Contagious Solutions is hiring a Dev Ops Engineer to join our team of talented designers, developers, and engineers as they work on a Case Management solution for OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). These tools are used nationwide and interface with many IT systems maintained by other government agencies.

• Install, configure, and maintain middleware stacks such as Oracle 12c products (Web Logic & OBIEE), Talend Data Integration, Apache Tomcat Server, Elasticsearch
• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
• Automate and improve development and release processes
• Design, build, and operate CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Utilize Dev Ops tools like Jenkins, Sonar Qube, Git, Maven, Fortify, Chef, Ansible, Nexus Repository
• Manage platform configuration with tools like Ansible
• Assist the lead with additional tasks as needed
• Work extensively with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience with AWS core services such as EC2, ELB, Cloud Watch, S3, IAM policies
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Packer, AWS Cloud Formation is a plus

• 3+ years designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• 5+ years as a middleware administrator
• Working knowledge of Java and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical, product management, and communication skills
• Experience testing or developing web applications or reports
• Client management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
• Organized, motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Problem-solving skills including data collection, analysis, and solution provision
• Ability to interpret technical information

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Possible relocation or remote work depending on client needs. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

This role is currently 100% remote but will eventually be on-site in Reston, VA.
