AboutThe Role
As Lead Integration Engineer at Care Continuity, you'll design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and system integrations that connect our platform with customer systems and third-party endpoints. You'll play a key role in ensuring interoperability across diverse healthcare data sources while mentoring teammates and shaping integration best practices.
This is a hands‑on engineering role with opportunities for leadership and cross‑team collaboration.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, and implement integrations with external systems (APIs, HL7, FHIR, CDA, flat files, unstructured clinical documents)
- Partner with client‑facing teams to enable smooth deployment and integration into customer environments
- Collaborate with QA and product teams to ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, and well‑tested
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues, optimizing performance, scalability, and timeliness of data delivery
- Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., latency, throughput) and lead continuous improvement efforts
- Mentor engineers on integration practices, fostering knowledge‑sharing and technical growth
- Stay current with new interoperability standards and technologies, evaluating potential adoption
- Document integration designs, processes, and lessons learned to build organizational knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, interoperability, or healthcare IT
- Strong experience with C# / .NET in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment
- Familiarity with databases (SQL and No
SQL, e.g., Mongo
DB, Redis) - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Azure Dev Ops, Terraform)
- Understanding of HL7, FHIR, CDA, flat file formats, and API‑based integrations
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC‑II, HITRUST) is a plus
- Estimated salary range: $115,000 - $160,000, depending on skills and experience
