We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment of assigned positions which may include international recruitment. Partners with hiring managers on strategy and workflow. Leverages technology, social media, and vendor relationships. Ensures legally compliant practices and processes.
Headquartered in San Diego, with operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, Invivoscribe develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of molecular and flow cytometry assays, reagents, controls, and bioinformatics tools under ISO 13485 design control. Our products and services support more than 700 clinical laboratories in over 160 countries.
Core Responsibilities- Collaborates with HR Business Partners to ensure a proactive approach to maintaining appropriate staffing levels for functional areas.
- Leads full cycle recruitment of assigned positions from requisition to offer process.
- Confers with hiring managers to identify specifications, duties, qualifications, and skills for positions. Facilitates the job description process as necessary.
- Executes talent strategies; professional organizations, learning institutions, social media boards, professional networks, industry publications and other creative strategies to generate diverse talent pools.
- Effectively uses AI as a talent strategy; AI-driven sourcing, resume screening, job posting and candidate outreach content, and other AI-based improvements to drive outcomes.
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to leverage the Company’s social media platforms; promotes job opportunities, company culture and reputation management, engages online communities, targets recruiting campaigns and other candidate outreach opportunities.
- Coordinates with HR Coordinator on job postings, ATS management, interview scheduling, skill assessments, employment applications, background checks, offers letters and internal reporting.
- Performs resume review, phone screens, and facilitates the selection process and close process. Thoroughly investigates candidate requirements which may include work-authorization sponsorship (work visa), relocation, remote work, delayed start date and the like.
- Maintains compliant record keeping.
- Develops networks and nurtures relationships with candidates, employee referrals, vendors, learning institutions, alumni groups, government agencies, biotech groups, and other organizations to identify and attract qualified applicants and further the IVS brand.
- May contribute to the development of internship opportunities/programs.
- Stays informed of economic trends, identifies challenges and opportunities in the employment marketplace and proposes innovative and competitive recruiting techniques.
- Monitor recruitment costs and participate in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
- Prepare metrics and data reports as required, to include KPI’s and Management Review.
- Supports other HR programs and processes as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study and, typically, 3+ years relevant experience. Human Resources education and/or certification preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Basic knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws required.
- Diagnostics, Medical Device or other Life Science industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong social media and social networking experience, to include Linked In Recruiter.
- Proficient in the use of an ATS; ADP Workforce Now is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new software programs.
