Talent Manager

This hands-on role focuses on the administration of human resources activities including recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement activities for the organization according to established policies, procedures, and processes. Working with the Sr. Director of Human Resources, this is an important generalist position that requires flexibility and adaptability, provides support and backup, assists with performance management, serves as a resource for hiring managers and other personnel and ensures the candidate and employee experience aligns with AKF’s vision and expectations.
Responsibilities:- Own the end-to-end recruiting process for all roles, ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Partner with hiring managers on employment policies and assist with writing position descriptions and job advertisements
- Screen candidates to ensure position requirements are met and elevate qualified candidates for consideration to hiring managers
- Oversee orientation for new employees, ensuring all employees receive a consistent and professional experience
- tribute and track employee surveys and performance management reviews and administer AKF's Employee Recognition Program
- Serve as a backup to the Director of Human Resources for all payroll activities
- Assist employees with HR and employee relations questions and elevate as needed
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 4+ years’ experience working in HR, including end-to-end recruiting and generalist responsibilities
- Understanding of HR fundamentals and full cycle recruitment processes with a willingness to effectively shift gears when necessary
- Highly collaborative with strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, decision making and PC skills including MS Office software proficiency (UKG, Workday or comparable HRIS software proficiency is a plus)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with colleagues from across the organization
- Health or public health industry experience and experience with talent development, benefits and open enrollment and assessments/surveys are all a plus
- SHRM certification a plus, but not required
