As a Talent Acquisition Associate
, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and engaging with veterinary support staff in the New York Metro Area and beyond to best equip our hospital to serve our patients and clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Strategic Sourcing:
  • Utilize online job boards, social media platforms, college directories, and industry-specific networks to identify and attract talented veterinary assistants, technicians, and other various roles within the hospital.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future job openings.
  • Screening and Evaluation:
  • Conduct initial phone or video screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and facilitate onsite interviews with the hospital team, working with hospital management and HR.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure candidates are matched with roles that align with their skills and career goals.
  • Candidate Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, guiding them through our full-cycle recruitment process with care and transparency.
  • Provide timely updates to candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Post job openings on external job boards and maintain listings outside of the ATS.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting job offers in a timely manner.
  • Support hospital teams with access and navigation of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
What You’ll Need to Bring
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: You’ve got at least one year of recruiting experience in any field, veterinary experience is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and team members.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to gather relevant information on potential candidates.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new technologies and software.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Curiosity and a strong desire to learn about the recruiting process and industry trends.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a small, close-knit team.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative in sourcing and project deliverables.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

This position requires that candidates live in the Brooklyn, NY area. This role will be partially onsite at VERG Brooklyn, and partially remote from your home office. More schedule information will be provided during the interview process, but you must be local to the hospital to be considered for the position.

US Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 USD
