Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a Contract to permanent position designed for a detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in managing payroll processes for large organizations. The role offers flexible hours and requires proficiency in payroll systems, including Paycor and Microsoft platforms, as well as a solid understanding of nonprofit operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process full-cycle payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Manage payroll elections and set up tax calculations based on worksite locations.

- Utilize Paycor and other payroll systems to efficiently handle payroll tasks and reporting.

- Ensure timely payroll processing on the 15th and 31st of each month, adjusting for weekends or holidays as needed.

- Maintain detailed records and handle payroll for over 500 employees.

- Collaborate with team members to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Assist in the administration of 403(b) plans and ensure compliance with nonprofit organization policies.

- Follow business-appropriate dress standards during virtual meetings conducted via Microsoft Teams.

- Perform audits and reviews to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.

- Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices, especially for nonprofit entities. Requirements - Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably for organizations with over 500 employees.

- Expertise in managing multi-state payroll and understanding tax regulations.

- Proficiency in payroll systems such as Paycor, ADP Workforce Now, and Microsoft platforms.

- Familiarity with nonprofit payroll operations, including 403(b) plan administration.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure payroll accuracy.

- Ability to manage flexible work hours, including adjustments for holidays and weekends.

- Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration and team interactions.

- Previous experience handling payroll in a remote work environment.
