Nonprofit, mental health agency striving to educate and enrich the lives of the people it serves for over 50 years. With five locations locally and home- and school-based programs, we are able to reach individuals, couples, and families throughout Franklin County and help them with challenges related to mental health and addiction. In addition to therapy, we offer case management, substance use disorder treatment, and youth and adolescent programming.
We are looking for an experienced, mindful, Human Resources Associate to serve as point of contact for Agency employees for human resources related inquires (benefits, FMLA, policies, etc.), direct the recruitment and employment function for the Agency, and provides leadership to advocate that we do the best for OUR best—our staff. We consider our staff to be the core to our success, and the successful candidate will be one who cares for the well‑being of their colleagues the way we care for our clients.

- Subject matter "go to" for benefits, policies, and employment best practices
- Liaison for Paychex HR Partner Pro
- Collaborate with hiring managers for selection and onboarding of staff, ensuring they have a successful and positive experience
- Federal, state, and regulatory compliance / reporting, including training leadership on requirements
- Detail‑oriented management of employee files for efficiency and compliance
- Management of staff‑impact safety such as OSHA and BWC
- Track attendance for all employees
- Work with department and leadership for strategy and implementation of staffing plans and succession planning
- Enrich and administer benefit programs including management of new hire and open enrollments
- Provide leadership in identifying and creating compensation & benefits programs that employees appreciate
- Establish and maintain positive and result‑oriented business relationships with broker and carrier account representatives
- Monthly insurance carrier invoice reconciliation
- Lead the development, implementation, and administration of carrier‑based wellness programs and initiatives
- Ensure human resources functions are in compliance with federal, state and local laws while finding ethical solutions to challenges
- Maintain a culture of respect and confidentiality; meet regularly with executive leadership to discuss best practices in HR
- Conduct internal investigations as warranted
- Identify and coordinate needed staff training for compliance, client enrichment, and supportive culture
- Strong commitment to DEI; willing to champion initiatives for a committed workplace
- Routinely analyze and utilize HR metrics to report on "state of the agency" to leadership and collaborate on solutions to concerns
- Conduct exit and stay interviews
- Stay up‑to‑date on legal and best practice changes that affect compliance and culture
- Other duties as assigned
- 3-5 years of HR experience (healthcare and/or nonprofit strongly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in HR and/or combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills with software experience (UKG experience preferred but not required)
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- $41,600 - $52,000

- Every Thursday for Office Hours at the Admin Office.
