Biotech HR Business Partner — Germany & Switzerland

You will be part of a collaborative global People & Culture team, supporting the German legal entity while also taking responsibility for Switzerland. This role is ideal for someone who combines solid HR Business Partner experience with a hands-on mindset, a strong passion for recruiting, and the motivation to help build scalable people practices in a growing organization.

• Partner with leaders and employees across Germany and Switzerland as a trusted HR Business Partner
• Collaborate closely with the global People & Culture team on global initiatives and cross-functional HR projects
• Actively contribute to the design, implementation, and rollout of scalable HR frameworks, policies, and people programs suitable for a startup-to-scale-up environment
• Translate business needs into pragmatic people solutions that support growth and organizational effectiveness
• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes as an HRBP, partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers and actively participating in interviews and hiring decisions
• Support workforce planning and organizational development during growth phases
• Handle employee relations topics hands-on, including performance management and employee lifecycle matters
• Own preparatory payroll activities for Germany and Switzerland, including the collection and validation of payroll-relevant data and close collaboration with external payroll providers
• Ensure compliant HR practices in line with German and Swiss labor law, working with external partners where needed
• Act as a culture ambassador, fostering engagement, collaboration, and strong leadership

Experience & Background

• A strong, well-rounded background as an HR Business Partner, ideally in biotech, life sciences, pharma, or another regulated, innovation-driven environment
• Enjoys supporting organizations through different growth stages, from early build-up to scale-up, and helping teams grow along the way
• Brings genuine enthusiasm for recruiting and hiring, partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers from role scoping through to hiring decisions
• Feels confident and comfortable conducting structured interviews and contributing to fair, high-quality selection decisions
• Has actively contributed to shaping and rolling out HR frameworks, policies, and people programs in evolving organizations
• Brings hands-on exposure to preparatory payroll activities and enjoys collaborating with external partners to ensure smooth processes
• Possesses a solid understanding of German labor law; exposure to Swiss employment law is a welcome plus
• Feels at home working in international and cross-border teams and values collaboration across cultures

• Strong project management skills across recruiting and HR initiatives
• High level of accuracy and reliability, particularly in payroll-related topics

• Fluent in English; German required for employee relations and payroll matters
