Payroll Specialist; Part-Time - Remote; EST or CST

• Independently manage multi-state payroll activities including wage calculations, payroll deductions, and bonus runs
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and conduct payroll audits
• Play a key role in payroll system conversions and implementations
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to optimize payroll operations
• Prepare manual payments and address discrepancies in timesheets and time off requests

• 5-7 years of payroll experience in a dedicated payroll function across multiple states/jurisdictions
• Working knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, compliance, and auditing
• Experience providing quality customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and process improvement skills

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
