Role Overview

We are hiring a Talent Headhunting Partner to focus exclusively on headhunting passive talent — candidates who are currently employed and not actively seeking new opportunities.

Your Mandate Is To
  • Identify, engage, and convert passive candidates through tailored outbound strategies
  • Pre-qualify candidates to ensure strong role, compensation, and motivation alignment
  • Deliver a steady flow of high-quality, TA-ready candidates for active client roles
  • Adapt headhunting strategies based on pipeline health and feedback
This Role Is Intentionally Designed As
  • Passive Headhunting (Non–Job-Seeking Talent) – 80%
  • Pipeline Readiness & Maintenance – 20%
In This Role, You Will
  • Act as a specialist in engaging and converting currently employed talent
  • Own outbound headhunting outcomes for specialized and priority roles
  • Maintain high response and conversion rates through personalized outreach
  • Deliver consistent, high-signal candidate pipelines
  • Adjust targeting and messaging based on real-time feedback and results
Areas of Responsibility

Passive Headhunting (Non–Job-Seeking Talent) – 80%

  • Identify and engage candidates who are currently employed and not actively job searching
  • Build targeted outreach strategies tailored to role requirements and seniority
  • Craft personalized messaging to convert passive candidates
  • Conduct initial pre-qualification to confirm:
    • Role alignment
    • Compensation expectations
    • Motivation and availability
  • Use voice notes or async communication where appropriate to improve conversion
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners to refine targeting and calibration
Pipeline Readiness & Maintenance – 20%
  • Ensure all headhunted candidates are accurately logged and staged in the ATS
  • Maintain clean, up-to-date pipelines for TA handoff
  • Monitor candidate progress and follow up to prevent drop-offs
  • Collaborate with the Talent Sourcing Coordinator to ensure pipeline hygiene
This Role Does Not
  • Source candidates who are actively job searching
  • Manage job board postings
  • Own dashboards, reporting logic, or analytics
  • Conduct interviews or make hiring decisions
Requirements Must-Haves (Required)
  • Proven experience headhunting passive, currently employed candidates
  • Strong outbound and persuasion skills with a consultative approach
  • Ability to personalize outreach at scale without sacrificing quality
  • Strong pre-qualification and alignment skills
  • KPI-driven mindset focused on response rate, acceptance rate, and pipeline quality
  • Clear, professional communicator capable of representing premium startup brands
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience recruiting for US-based startups or scale-ups
  • Agency background with a strong outbound headhunting focus
  • Experience working on specialized, senior, or hard-to-fill roles
Tools Proficiency Must-Haves
  • Advanced Linked In Recruiter (search logic, projects, InMail optimization)
  • ATS systems (Workable strongly preferred)
  • Google Workspace & Notion
  • Slack
Nice-to-Haves
  • Contact-finding tools (Apollo, Lusha, etc.)
  • Async or voice-based candidate engagement tools
