HR Business Partner – HR Operations (Contract)

Location: Irving, TX (Onsite Mon–Thu / Remote Fri)

Rate: $45–$50+/hr (based on experience)

Duration: 3–4 months

Start: ASAP

We are seeking a hands‑on HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to support HR Operations during a critical project period. This contract assignment is ideal for a professional with 3+ years of HR experience,
ADP Workforce Now expertise
, and strong generalist skills in benefits, compliance, payroll, and HRIS projects.

This role blends traditional HRBP responsibilities with operational and project‑focused work, including system optimization, time and attendance implementation, and support of the overall employee experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to management, providing guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and HR best practices
  • Support HR Operations, including benefits administration for new hires, monthly benefits invoice reconciliation, and coordination with brokers and carriers
  • Assist payroll as needed, particularly for time reporting or PTO accrual questions
  • Help implement and optimize HR systems, dashboards, and workflows (Time & Attendance, HRIS, ADP)
  • Contribute to HR projects such as process improvements and system implementations
  • Support compliance-related activities, including unemployment claims, subpoenas, and litigation documentation
  • Provide training, communications, and support for HR tools, employee self‑service, and manager self‑service systems
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to enhance HR operations and the employee experience
Requirements
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in an HRBP or HR Generalist role
  • Strong ADP Workforce Now experience is required
  • Hands‑on experience with:
  • Benefits administration (new hire focus)
  • PTO accrual and leave administration (FMLA/LOA knowledge)
  • Employee relations and general employment law
  • Payroll support or coordination
  • Exposure to project coordination or HRIS/system implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience preferred
  • PHR certification is a plus
