Position: HR Business Partner based in Northern Ontario - Hybrid role
The Opportunity
Act as a strategic partner and play a key role in supporting business needs and achieving objectives. Deliver a broad range of support and consulting services on all talent management processes including talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, workforce planning employee engagement & retention.
The Role
Lead and participate in team(s) to develop, implement and drive human resource initiatives and programs to effectively deliver the company’s HR strategy and servicesLead implementation planning and execution for talent acquisition, performance management, capability development and talent management initiativesPartner with leaders & recruiters to fulfill current and future hiring needs through the effective management of the recruiting & onboarding process to ensure we attract and select critical talentDevelop and implement recruitment plans and initiatives to build our Critical Talent Segment pipeline through resource planning for strategic growth areas and identified gaps in CTS, including partnering with educational institutions and government agenciesLead planning of change initiatives within the region/division and ensure appropriate strategies and action plans are in place to achieve required changes; facilitate effective planning and execution in partnership with leadersDiagnose organizational issues/needs & make recommendations to support culture & structural changesProvide guidance and direction on all aspects of employee/labour relations including coaching & advising leaders on the interpretation & implementation of applicable legislation, collective agreements & company policies, and supporting managers in determining the appropriate resolution to issuesRecommend & build appropriate communication strategies, plans & guidelines to support change efforts, build employee engagement and help achieve overall business objectivesFacilitate organizational development programs for managers & employees by delivering or facilitating access to training on supervisory practices , interpersonal communication skills, team building and other subjects as appropriateWork with leaders to ensure that people implications of business decisions are understood and consideredEnsure the effective management of disability claims and work with managers to facilitate return to work programsUse metrics and analytics regularly to help support business strategies, identify talent trends / human resources issues and uses to make recommendations
** Must be based in Northern Ontario as site visits are required in this role.
The Candidate
Education: Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
Work Experience: 5 - 8 years of similar role with experience partnering with senior leaders and frontline management with a proven track record of delivering results and successfully managing change: labour relations experience required
Knowledge: CHRP designation preferred, Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, computer skills
