Are you an Employee Relations expert ready to drive a positive and compliant working environment?
Twinkl is looking for a proactive and experienced ER Manager to lead our approach to employee relations. This is a vital role where you will be responsible for managing the relationship between Twinkl and our employees, ensuring we live our company values, and operate with fairness, consistency, and compliance.
Working closely with our HR Business Partners and HR Advisors, you will be the go-to expert on employee relations issues, as well as driving the development and implementation of our HR policy framework.
What you will be doing:- Case Management: Develop the framework for handling, investigation, and resolution of ER issues including disciplinary actions, grievances, and capability cases.

Coaching:
Serve as a subject matter expert, coaching and supporting managers across the business to ensure the consistent application of company policies, best practice and statutory compliance. - Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain clear HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with existing and upcoming employment law.
- Trend Analysis: Proactively analyse ER data to identify trends, recommend, and implement improvements for the leadership team.
- Conflict Resolution: Promote a collaborative culture through expert mediation and negotiation skills to resolve any workplace disputes.
- Union Relations & Employee Voice: Manage relationships and negotiations with trade unions or staff representatives, which may include setting up and running an employee forum/council.
- Restructuring Support: Work alongside HR Business Partners on the procedural aspects of any organisational restructures.
- A proven track record in handling complex employee relations issues.
- Deep and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR policy development, implementation, and maintenance. Highly effective mediation and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into proactive recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and with integrity.
- A forward-thinking approach to ER, focused on identifying risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Experience in managing union relations or employee forums/councils is highly desirable.
