Labour Relations Specialist

We’re looking for a permanent Labour Relations Specialist
, to serve as a trusted advisor and key contact for union-related matters across our Retail Locations & Warehouse Operations. In this role you will partner closely with our HR Business Partners and Operational leaders to foster positive labour management relationships and support the consistent, fair application of collective agreements, labour legislation, and organizational policies.

Act as a collaborative partner and primary resource for union-related matters across retail and warehouse teamsProvide thoughtful guidance to leaders by interpreting and applying collective agreements, policies, and legislationSupport the grievance process from intake through resolution, including arbitration when requiredContribute to collective bargaining preparation, costing, and strategyParticipate in labour-management meetings and help nurture respectful, constructive union relationshipsConduct or support workplace investigations with a focus on fairness, timeliness, and procedural integrityAnalyze trends in grievances and employee relations matters to recommend proactive solutionsSupport policy development and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with legislation and collective agreementsWhat You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field3-5 years of labour relations experience in a unionized environmentStrong working knowledge of New Brunswick labour and employment legislationDemonstrated experience managing grievances and supporting arbitration processesExcellent judgement, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretionLanguage Competencies
Written and spoken French competence is an asset, please state your language capability.
Work Location
The Retail Operations Centre is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick, remote work is possible.Travel throughout New Brunswick as required.Note
