About the Company: Our client is a privately held real estate group with a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties across Canada. They are seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Payroll Coordinator to join their finance team and help manage payroll for employees in both Ontario and Quebec. About the Role: The Payroll Coordinator will manage end-to-end payroll for employees across Ottawa and Quebec, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation and internal policies. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/French), has hands‑on experience with Quebec payroll
, and can navigate multi-jurisdiction payroll processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Administer payroll for Ontario and Quebec employees, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation and collective agreements where applicable.
- Process and reconcile payroll for approx. 300 employees using Desjardins Payroll
. - Maintain payroll-related G/L accounts and assist with month-end journal entries.
- Support internal and external payroll audits with accurate documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Manage employee records, deductions, and ROEs.
- Generate payroll reports and perform data analysis to identify process improvements.
- Fluent in English and French (oral and written).
- 3+ years of payroll experience, with strong exposure to Quebec payroll legislation
. - Experience managing payroll for 200+ employees across multiple provinces.
- Hands‑on experience with Desjardins Payroll
. - Knowledge of G/L reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and payroll reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Payroll certification (PCP or PLP) is an asset.
