Talent Manager, Employee Relations, HR Manager
This is a Human Resources Generalist position located in Denver or Colorado Springs with a small company managed by a cohesive team of professionals that is looking to increase our capability. This position earns a competitive annual salary of $62,000 - $72,000

Responsible for supporting the growth of Cedars Development and the T1 team by assisting the HR Manager. This role will contribute to business success, employee growth, morale, retention and productivity in support of the Cedars Campus' core purpose, values, cultures and vision. Additionally, responsible for short and long-term planning of all the HR related functions, like workforce planning, recruitment, staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, benefits and workforce training and development.
RoleAccountabilities & Expectations:
- Help with new hire procedures, including organizing and coordinating new employee orientation, maintaining new employee electronic files, administering Team Member Handbook and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly completed.
- Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations.
- Assist other department heads in the formulation of policies and procedures for their respective departments.
- Assist and ensure that all procedures concerning promotions, transfers and team member resignations are carried out within Company policy and legal boundaries.
- Foster positive employee relations, work to solve any employee issues that surface and ensure any employee grievances are monitored and resolved.
- Ensure performance evaluations are carried out for every employee at 90-days and annually. Review all performance evaluations and follow up on development needs, if required.
- Encourage a good standard of employee conduct and behavior, including coordinate progress disciplinary procedures when necessary.
- Provide guidance to the leadership team regarding employee morale, employee relations, coaching and discipline.
- Assist in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references and tracking of new possible candidates.
- Assist and ensure that all procedures concerning promotions, transfers and team member resignations are carried out within Company policy and within legal boundaries.
- Make sure all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Assist in administering worker's compensation program, ensuring claims and reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Help to ensure payroll processes are correct.
- Make sure all employee records are electronically filed correctly, maintained, updated and kept confidential.
- Assist in talent management and reward strategies, philosophies and programs that address retention needs.
- Plan and facilitate the implementation of HR initiatives, programs and projects (i.e., milestone and anniversaries, cross training/job shadowing, etc.).
- Assist, promote and coordinate employee engagement activities, programs and events.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as established in the Team Member Handbook.
- Attend manager meetings as requested by General Manager and/or HR Director.
- Assist the HR Director providing a full range of support and guidance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years human resources management experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wages and salary, employee training, accident prevention and government regulations/policies.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to interact professionally with other departments, outside contacts and multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, applicant tracking systems and online recruiting resources.
- Strong organization, planning, attention to detail, time management and follow-though skills.
- Handle information in a confidential manner.
- Team player including the ability to work with more than one person and complete a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a level of creativity, problem solving ability, good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- High initiative with a strong sense of urgency and flexibility.
- Must be physically present in the assigned office with limited remote work as assigned.
- Ability to pass post-offer background check, pre-employment drug screening and remain in compliance with drug-free workplace policies.
