• Manage end-to-end US PEO payroll operations, including on-cycle, off-cycle, and correction payrolls
• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and filings
• Lead and develop a team of PEO payroll specialists, providing coaching and performance guidance
• Identify operational gaps and drive process improvements and automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll workflows and client experience

• Several years of US payroll experience, particularly in a PEO environment
• Proven expertise in multi-state US payroll and co-employment models
• Strong knowledge of US payroll tax, benefits, and labor compliance
• Prior experience leading or mentoring payroll professionals
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex payroll issues clearly

• Experience supporting or scaling PEO payroll operations in a high-growth or tech-enabled company
• Familiarity with payroll system implementation or internal payroll engine development
• Experience collaborating with Product or Engineering teams
• Exposure to remote-first, asynchronous work environments
