Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Talent Manager
People Advisor – South West Central
Location:
Remote (home‑based) with extensive travel to sites across the South West Area
Salary: £43,177.30 per annum
Contract:
Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We’re looking for a proactive, collaborative People Advisor to join our People Team and support our operational colleagues working within prison environments. This is a unique opportunity to use your HR expertise to make a real difference to colleagues delivering essential services in challenging, fast‑paced, and highly regulated settings. You’ll work closely with managers and the People Team to provide professional HR advice across the employee lifecycle.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues across Payroll, Attract, Projects, Finance, Commercial & Supply Chain, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
Key Responsibilities- Build strong relationships with managers, offering timely HR guidance.
- Support HR projects, policy rollouts, and site‑based interventions.
- Advise on employee relations cases and ensure compliance with HR policies.
- Deliver basic HR training for line managers.
- Liaise with external providers for wellbeing and attendance management.
- Analyse HR data to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
- A strong understanding of HR processes.
- Experience in a People Administration or People Coordination role.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An ability to manage multiple priorities whilst ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Good current knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Holding Associate level CIPD (L5), or currently working towards.
Holidays are 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays.
