Description

Our People Operations team 👋

The People Operations team supports and enables everyone in Free Agent to focus on doing their best work, through the delivery of exceptional service across our 3 sub-teams: the People team, Talent team and Front Office team. The working environment is fast paced, agile and fun. We're a highly supportive and collaborative team and central to the way we work is a desire to work smarter, finding ways to improve what we do and how we do it.

We’re on the lookout for a generalist People Consultant to join our friendly and supportive People team. As a People Consultant, you’ll enjoy variety, ongoing development, and have a chance to influence a variety of strategic people focused projects. To be successful in this position you’ll have had experience in a similar HR role at a junior or mid level, and be able to demonstrate your ability to advise managers on various people topics.

You’ll be:

  • owning key people processes: managing a range of employee lifecycle processes from end to end
  • delivering advisory and ER support: guiding managers and employees through policies and procedures, performance and absence management, and first-stage case resolution
  • driving projects and continuous improvement: owning small projects from start to finish, contributing to larger team initiatives, and using feedback to sharpen our processes
  • keeping on top of the day-to-day activities that keep the people function running, including:
    • facilitating inductions, exit interviews, and surveys
    • managing internal communications, share schemes, and ad hoc reporting requests
    • supporting reward processes and wider team activities
You 🙌

You'll enjoy variety in your role and be comfortable managing projects alongside day to day work and ad-hoc requests. Self driven, you'll take full ownership of work, taking action to overcome any barriers to delivery. You'll enjoy working with and supporting people, with a warm, engaging and inclusive approach to all that you do.

Ideally you’ll have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification in Human Resource Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience advising managers on people issues or policies
  • Knowledge and experience administering various employee lifecycle processes
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to pick up new systems quickly

Bonus points for🏆

  • Employee relations case management experience
  • Previous experience in a People Consultant position
  • CIPD level 7 qualification in Human Resource Management
