Talent Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Employee Relations

Responsibilities- Conflict Resolution & Case Management:
Expertly handling disputes, grievances, disciplinary actions, and complex investigations (harassment, discrimination), ensuring adherence to fair procedures per LRA Code of Good Practice and BCEA requirements (e.g., rest breaks, working hours). - Conducting Investigations:
Investigate allegations of misconduct transparently and fairly, maintaining documentation and disciplinary actions per LRA and BCEA standards. - Advisory & Guidance:
Providing proactive, strategic HR advice to managers on employee lifecycle issues, performance management, and policy interpretation. - Policy & Culture:
Developing, implementing, and ensuring consistent application of fair workplace policies and contributing to a positive culture. Ensure HR policies comply with BCEA (e.g., notice periods, working hours, leaves) and LRA (e.g., dismissal procedures), update them according to amendments. - Risk Mitigation:
Applying employment law knowledge to manage cases in a risk-averse, legally sound manner, protecting both employees and the organization. - Legal & Regulatory Support:
Support managers and employees during CCMA arbitration or labour court proceedings, liaise with external legal advisers. - Employee Education & Training:
Provide training on labour law, workplace rights, disciplinary processes, EEA obligations, and fair treatment compliance. - Reporting & Trend Analysis:
Maintain case records, monitor ER trends, and prepare regular reports—highlighting legal compliance, high‑risk areas, and workplace culture insights. - Strategic Partnership:
Working cross-functionally with HR Business Partners and leaders to align ER initiatives with overall business objectives and workforce planning.
Any other duties as requested by the Senior People Business Partner commensurate with the role.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years in employee relations, labour law, or HR roles in South Africa.
- In-depth knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, CCMA procedures
- Strong conflict resolution, investigation, and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
- Proficiency with HRIS, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
