Benefits Manager

RVO Health is seeking a talented and motivated Benefits Manager to execute, manage, and administer our employee benefit offerings, total rewards program discounts, perks, and retirement plans. This new role will be a key member of the HR Operations team and will support the implementation of benefits structures aligned to the organization’s strategy.

Where You'll Be

Employees are expected to work from our Fort Mill, SC office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Remote work Monday and Friday is allowed.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee the company’s benefits programs including health, welfare, and retirement programs, ensuring compliance and cost competitiveness.
  • Own the annual benefits enrollment process, including developing communication materials, ensuring all resources fulfill their duties, analyzing benefit rates, and creating administration and communication plans.
  • Implement effective and sustainable communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of benefit programs and total rewards across all channels.
  • Establish and measure key benefit program metrics, compensation factors, and total reward programs and perks.
  • Host and facilitate open enrollment and lead educational sessions on our benefit programs.
  • Research and bring in-depth understanding of external best‑practices and innovative trends, including regular benchmarking and participation in benefit surveys to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of all total rewards‑related knowledge base content, policies, program, and procedures.
  • Support جمهوری HRBPs and staff in handling highly confidential issues and escalated inquiries to provide clear resolution and minimize legal risk.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations for assigned benefit plans and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of periodic regulatory reports such as Forms 1094, 1095‑C, 5500, all annual benefits and 401(k) testing, and compliance filings required by ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and other applicable laws.
  • Manage employee benefits for our UK population (pension and health benefit programs).
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of mandatory notices and disclosures such as summary plan descriptions and summary of material modifications required by ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and other laws.
  • Lead employee‑wide benefits meetings, educational sessions, orientation, and onboarding sessions.
  • Review monthly vendor billings and invoices for accuracy and ensure timely payment.
  • Assist with reviewing and monitoring plans and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist HR team with administering, processing and maintaining leaves in accordance with FMLA, LOA, and Military Leave.
  • Work on special projects as assigned and other duties as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years’ Benefits Administration experience.
  • Expert understanding of self‑insured and fully insured Health and Welfare Benefit Plans, Ancillary, Retirement Plans, and all applicable laws.
  • Knowledge of national health care policies, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA and associated reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting diverse teams in a fast‑paced, agile business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complicated benefit issues to small and large groups.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and highest standards for accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to balance project and program management with day‑to‑day execution and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and similar HRIS software a plus.
  • Experience administering benefits internationally a plus.
Compensation & Benefits (summary)
  • Salary: $87,000‑$105,000 (based on location, qualifications, and experience).
