This vacancy will be in the Division of Personnel Management assigned to the Department of Natural Resources in Region 3. The position will be headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin with hybrid remote work options that can be discussed further in the interview.

Responsibilities

This position serves as a Classification and Compensation Analyst providing a range of professional Human Resources (HR) services supporting the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in classification and compensation activities. The employee in this position will utilize strong organizational, time management, problem solving, analytical, and communication skills to carry out the following key responsibilities:

  • Serving as a contact and support for Regional Classification & Compensation Analysts in the coordination of surveys.
  • Providing services to the agency's classification and compensation program area.
  • Conducting classification and reclassification analysis.
  • Performing special studies and research assignments to assess compensation and/or classification effectiveness.
  • Assisting with labor market compensation research.
  • Administering of the civil service staffing process.

Salary Information

The Human Resources Specialist-Senior is in schedule-range (81-03) with an hourly salary between $36.25 and $38.25. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

This is a part-time position (.60 FTE) in the classified service. Please note positions of 0.6 FTE or greater are eligible for benefits including health insurance, paid leave, and retirement.
