Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking an organized and proactive HR Manager to oversee a broad spectrum of HR functions, ranging from high-level compliance to employee benefits, training, and policy development. You will serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, ensuring our HR operations run seamlessly to support the organization’s growth and culture.
Flexible Work Structure:
We are looking for the right talent first and foremost. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates; the final scope of the role and weekly hours will be tailored to match the successful applicant’s background, skills, and professional goals. Regardless of the agreed-upon weekly hours, this is a primarily remote position that requires in-person collaboration at our office, only one day per week.
- Compliance & Audit Leadership:
Serve as the HR lead for annual SOC 2 audits. You will ensure all personnel‑related controls—including performance reviews, security awareness training, and access termination—are rigorously documented and audit‑ready. - Employee Relations:
Provide expert guidance to management and staff on complex or sensitive employment issues. Act as a trusted mediator to resolve concerns and foster a positive workplace culture. - Regulatory Oversight:
Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Regularly review and update internal policies to align with best practices and evolving regulations. - Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from job postings and screening to interview coordination. Lead the onboarding process to ensure a welcoming and efficient transition for all new hires. - Benefits & Leaves Administration:
Oversee employee benefits management, including open enrollment, leave requests, and daily inquiries. - Project Management:
Lead HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, annual performance review cycles, and the creation of internal training and development modules.
- Proven track record as an HR Generalist or HR Manager; experience in a mid-sized company environment is preferred.
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance or similar rigorous audit frameworks is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of employment and labor laws.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with total discretion.
- A results‑driven mindset with sharp attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Professional certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
- Tight‑Knit, No‑Ego Team:
Join a culture built on curiosity, collaboration, and integrity. We are a supportive group that prioritizes mutual respect—we care about each other, and we win together. - Modern Office Environment:
Enjoy a casual dress code and a collaborative, open‑office layout located in the Fenton shopping center in Cary. - Hybrid Flexibility:
We believe in the power of face‑to‑face connection without sacrificing work‑life balance. We are currently in‑office on Tuesdays to foster team collaboration, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week. - Comprehensive Benefits:
We offer a full benefits package (for full‑time employees) and a 4% 401(k) match after one year of service.
