In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). AboutThe Job
As an Associate Learning Consultant
, you’ll help bring Pet Smart’s Learning and Development strategy to life by creating and updating training materials that support the growth of our associates across stores, distribution centers, and the home office. Your work will help build skills in areas such as functional/technical skill and professional development, making a real impact on our business.
- Update existing training content (eLearnings, job aids, presentations) to keep it accurate and relevant.
- Revise and rewrite materials to improve clarity and effectiveness.
- Proofread and review content created by other team members.
- Assist in designing, developing, and delivering training solutions for different parts of the business.
- Lead small-scale projects when needed, with support from senior team members.
- Provide administrative support for team-hosted learning events, including scheduling, logistics coordination, and participant communication.
- Manage a shared inbox to respond to questions from learners and leaders in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with teammates and business partners to build effective learning tools.
- Handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Respond to requests and feedback in a timely, professional manner.
- Stay flexible and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Ensure training materials are high-quality, engaging, and aligned with business goals.
- Help create implementation plans that support long-term success and a great learner experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in designing and facilitating training is preferred.
- Experience in retail, distribution, or corporate environments is a plus.
