COMPENSATION RANGE$17 - $25 per hour
ANTICIPATED TRAVELMinimal; occasional local travel may be required for interviews or meetings.
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe HR Generalist will support the daily functions of the human resources department by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and recordkeeping. This role ensures that HR policies and procedures are followed and helps foster a positive working environment.
Standard Daily Responsibilities- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data accuracy
- Support employee relations and communication efforts
- Assist in benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding processes
- Post job openings and coordinate interview schedules
- Process HR documentation and maintain personnel files
Support performance management initiatives - Assist with payroll processing and benefits enrollment
- Respond to employee questions and concerns
- Assist with organizing training sessions and HR events
- Support special projects as assigned by HR leadership
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May require occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 20 lbs)
- Use of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, and printers
- Office environment with a standard 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule
- Minimal exposure to noise and hazards
- Opportunities for remote work or flexible scheduling may be available depending on company policies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Problem‑solving and conflict resolution abilities
- • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role required
- • Demonstrated experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance
- • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
- • Proficiency with HRIS systems
- • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) is advantageous but not required
