To lead the Human Resource and Volunteer Services Team in developing and delivering an effective and efficient service. This is a hands‑on role combining strategic leadership with operational HR delivery in a complex, caring environment.
Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership of the People and Culture Team – HR function
- To develop an HR Strategy
- To ensure Treetops operates within current employment legislation and best practice
- To lead on complex employment casework
- Monitoring and developing all policies

Main
Purpose:
To lead the Human Resource and Volunteer Services Team in developing and delivering an effective and efficient service. To be integral in creating and delivering the human resource and cultural elements within the Treetops Strategic Plan. This includes all services relating to the recruitment and management of volunteers. The duties and responsibilities listed below apply as equally to volunteers as paid staff (wherever practicable).
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Presenting to board members
- Strategic thinking
- Proven experience within a HR Manager role
- Strategic thinking with strong data literacy (able to build KPI dashboards and derive insight)
- Commitment to inclusion, equity and diversity with measurable outcomes delivered
- Working knowledge of Sage HR
- Healthcare/charity/hospice experience; understanding of CQC and safer recruitment requirements
- Coaching qualification
