Where You’ll Work

This position is based in our Lenexa, KS office. We leverage a hybrid working model, working three days in the office and two days optional remote work.

What You’ll Do

The HR Generalist serves as a trusted partner to leaders and employees across the organization by contributing to an engaged and effective workplace aligned with company culture, goals, HR best practices, and labor laws. Responsibilities span across all HR functions, with a primary focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, and HR operational and administrative needs.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, handling sensitive employee relations matters with empathy, professionalism, and compliance expertise.
  • Lead full cycle recruiting for assigned roles, partnering with leaders to attract and hire top talent.
  • Drive employee engagement by leveraging surveys, turning insights into action, and supporting leaders in strengthening organizational culture.
  • Champion CHA’s values-based culture through initiatives like employee resource groups, training opportunities and day-to-day people practices.
  • Design and deliver engaging learning and compliance training using adult learning best practices across in-person, virtual, and on-demand formats.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including content, reporting, and external learning partnerships.
  • Serve as the HRIS subject matter expert, ensuring accurate data, promoting self-service tools, and generating meaningful reports.
  • Support HR policies, job descriptions, audits, and compliance requirements (FLSA, EEO, I-9), proactively identifying and reducing risk.
What You’ll Bring To CHA

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience; including recruitment, learning & development, employee relations, and culture initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Advanced technical skills, familiarity with HRIS (Paycor preferred), Outlook/Teams, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to partner and coach employees of all levels; delivering feedback and challenging information in a way that builds trust and collaboration.
  • Ability to confidently present and facilitate engaging training in-person or virtually.

This pay range shown is a guideline. Min: $70,000 Max: $120,000. Compensation is based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
