About The Job

Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking an Employee Relations Manager (Seasonal Maternity Coverage). Reporting to the Senior Director of Employee Relations, this role will support Louis Vuitton Americas, with a focus on US Retail, administering policies and programs in the following areas:
Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compliance and general HR policy and procedures. By leveraging their employee relations expertise, and with an unbiased approach, the ER Manager will ensure a comfortable and safe work environment for our employees, provide guidance on HR topics and mitigate risk for the Company.

Job Responsibilities Employee Relations
  • Handles all day-to-day employee relations issues for store employees - including disciplinary action, coaching and counseling, internal investigations and terminations. Ensure consistency in decision making, along with compliance with local law.
  • Conducts full cycle investigations into any employee concerns arising from their scope of stores.
  • Relies on pre-established guidelines and instructions to advise managers and employees.
  • Review, or prepare, written documentation such as corrective actions, performance improvement plans, job abandonment letters, etc.
  • Develops and provides formal training to management population on Employee Relations topics.
  • Provides informal coaching to managers on human relations skills (supervision, discipline, etc) and employment law.
  • Partners with Employment Counsel on employment cases and implementation of any new employment legislation.
  • Develops and implements innovative strategies impacting employee morale, improvement of performance, workplace culture, workplace environment training.
  • Manages electronic learning management system for all Employee Relations trainings and ensure compliance with all legally required harassment trainings.
  • Manages electronic background check system.
  • Assists with employee termination packages as it relates to store closings/job eliminations.
  • Reports and tracks all employee documentation and investigations, analyze data for patterns and trends, management review and identification of training opportunities.
  • Manages religious accommodation process.
  • Maintain all relevant Employee Relations documentation used by HR Generalists and management.
Policies and Procedures
  • Compiles and documents HR policies and procedures data from competitors/industry literature and presents recommendations to management.
Other
  • Assists with HR projects as needed.
Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to Employee Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and ethical conduct.

The appointed candidate will be offered a competitive base salary, ranging from USD $80,000 to $110,000 annually, with an range of USD $90,000 to $125,000 for candidates residing in New York or California.

In addition to base compensation,
this fully remote position and is eligible for medical coverage
. This opportunity is open to qualified candidates in all states.
