What You’ll DoThis role provides HR service to all Edward Jones associates in both the U.S. and Canada, and family members, as well as applicants, candidates, and third-party vendors. As a HR Generalist - HR Help, you will answer general HR questions and inquiries, in addition to complex questions or scenarios requiring HR explanation, guidance and/or consultation in gray areas where little or no guidance is available.
You will also be responsible for training new associates to the HR HELP Team.
Here are a few of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:
- Respond to phone and written HR questions to ensure professional and efficient service delivery using our case management platform Service Now.
- Serve as first level HR support for associates regarding benefits, compensation, performance, conduct management, hiring procedures, HR policy interpretation, promotion, separation, and transfer processes.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional HR teams to escalate associate inquiries when appropriate or guide associates to the correct team if inquiries fall outside HR HELP’s scope.
- Maintain core service call and written case volume, measures, and quality tied to accuracy, completeness, and experience.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and offer support when responding to associates who are distressed by work-related matters, personal crisis, or other concerns.

Hiring Minimum: $55,000
Hiring Maximum: $90,600
Skills/RequirementsWhat Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a human resources-related field or equivalent HR experience
- 3+ years of experience in a human resources-related field, including:
- Strong organizational, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to de-escalate callers or contacts using customer service techniques and clear explanation
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, service-focused environment
- A PHR or SPHR
- Experience as an HR Generalist, in addition to a background in customer service
- Candidates living within commutable distance to Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home offices; expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, commuting candidates are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
