The RSC Human Resources department is responsible for providing expert advice on all people related matters across the RSC. We have specialist functions which focus on specific areas of HR advice and support, all supporting the delivery of the RSC's strategic aims.
We are looking for an HR Administrator to provide efficient administration support across the Human Resources department. You will be responsible for providing generalist HR admin support to employee relations work, recruitment, and training activity. You will act as the first point of contact in HR for internal and external stakeholders.
The duties and responsibilities for this position are shared within an administration team of two and include:
- Inputting new starter information on the HR system (iTrent), ensuring a high level of accuracy and in line with payroll deadlines
- Preparing all new starter employment contracts
- Processing contract amendments on the HR system
- Being the first point of contact for managers and staff on a range of HR issues
- Arranging and promoting internal training courses
- Dealing with training enquiries and course applications, managing delegate lists, issuing joining instructions, preparing training materials and venues
- Making external training bookings
- Monitoring the training budget to ensure all costs are accounted for
- Raising purchase orders through Focal Point
- Supporting implementation of new HR technology including employee self-service and learning management systems.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Excellent work planning and organisation skills, able to prioritise workload
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Confidence when processing and inputting data
- The ability to act with integrity and observe confidentiality
- A flexible and responsive approach
- A deadline driven approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- The desire to work effectively as part of a team within a busy department.
This post is based in Stratford-upon-Avon with the option for some working from home, and is offered as a full-time, permanent contract, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the understanding that additional hours may be required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. The RSC supports flexible working and anticipate that this role will work to a hybrid model, with 2-3 days on site each week, depending on work activity.
