Talent Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are partnering with a Higher Education establishment in Birmingham who is looking to recruit for an Assistant HR Business Partner to join a busy HR Advisory Services team. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and offers hybrid working (2 days home working) and a salary of up to £48,822 per annum.
The successful candidate must have experience working within a Higher Education establishment or an environment where they have a proven track record building relationships with academics.
This is a pivotal role in delivering a comprehensive HR generalist advisory service across a large organisation, providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of employee-related issues and supporting strategic HR initiatives when required and would suit a strong HR Advisor who has a proven track record working with Academics to build relationships and provide advice.
Key Responsibilities- Providing timely, expert advice to managers on HR matters such as performance, sickness, conduct, grievance, TUPE, and probation
- Leading or supporting HR projects, driving process efficiencies and service improvements
- Collaborating with HR colleagues to resolve complex employee relations issues
- Analysing HR data to identify trends and propose improvements
- Coaching Head of Services and managers on HR processes and develop tools to enhance their capability
- Acting as a role model for organisational values, promoting equality and diversity
- Demonstrated HR advisory experience across a broad range of HR areas
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent, plus CIPD qualification (or willingness to progress to Level
7) - Strong knowledge of HR practice, employment legislation, and organisational policy
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
- Worked with academics currently or previously
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Highly proficient IT skills, including MS Office
- Commitment to continuous professional development and fostering an inclusive culture
- 40 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Flexible start/finish times and working patterns
- Location: Birmingham (2 days home working)
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Salary: Up to £48,822 per annum
