Employee Accommodation Specialist
This role is fully remote.
As a key partner in supporting employees through the accommodation process, this role requires a calm, organized, and service-minded professional who can navigate sensitive situations with clarity and empathy. The ideal candidate excels at managing details, assessing information, and communicating next steps in a way that reduces friction and builds trust. Success in this position comes from critical thinking, strong follow-through, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across teams while maintaining a consistent, employee-first experience.
EmployeeAccommodation Specialist Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee accommodation inquiries, ensuring timely and supportive responses.
- Evaluate preliminary information to determine accommodation needs, return-to-work potential, and next steps.
- Generate and manage accommodation forms, notices, documentation, and case records with accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical, legal, return-to-work, and internal partners to support employees through the process.
- Triage and elevate moderate or complex cases while tracking all accommodation requests in internal systems.
- Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting accommodation, leave, HR, or employee-facing processes that require discretion and accuracy.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities and comfort working with structured guidelines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and the full Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and deliver a frustration-free, service-oriented experience to employees.
