About the RoleThe Associate Director, Compliance will play a critical role in shaping and advancing a best‑in‑class Compliance Program s individual will partner closely with the Compliance Department to design, implement, and sustain our program that not only meets—and exceeds—regulatory expectations, while actively fostering a company wide culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision‑making.
Grounded in recognized regulatory frameworks, including Office of Inspector General (OIG) Guidance, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and Department of Justice standards for effective compliance programs, this role will partner to ensure that compliance is fully embedded into how the organization operates and grows. As a key member of a highly collaborative team, this role will contribute meaningfully across all elements of the Tarsus Compliance Program, bringing thoughtful judgment, operational rigor, and a proactive, business‑aligned mindset to compliance strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead execution of the compliance auditing and monitoring program including annual planning, coordination and oversight of third‑party vendors, scheduling and execution of live and virtual monitoring activities and compliance audits, analysis of results, and tracking and follow‑up of remediation and corrective actions.
- Manage administration of the compliance disclosure and reporting case management system, including case intake, tracking, reporting, and system maintenance. Support compliance investigations through case research, documentation, interview coordination, and preparation of investigation summaries and reports. Track disciplinary actions and remediation actions to completion.
- Support execution of the annual compliance Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plan (RAMP), including risk survey administration, analysis of outputs, and tracking and management of mitigation actions.
- Develop reports periodically to identify potential compliance risks, trends, and areas for continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing compliance support to employees by responding to questions and concerns, supporting compliance education and training initiatives, and reinforcing a culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.
- Assist the Compliance Officer and Compliance Leadership Team with special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience in Life Sciences or related Consulting.
- Proficient in Federal Healthcare Program requirements and FDA requirements.
- Certification of Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) a plus.
- Demonstrated strong ethics and integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must have the ability to develop and maintain trusted relationships with internal partners across all levels and work well in teams.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑starter and proactive.
- The position will be based in our beautiful Irvine office, complete with a courtyard, snacks, drinks, and occasional catered meals. We provide a hybrid work environment. Remote work is an option.

- Some travel may be required – up to 10%.
At Tarsus, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $142,500 - $199,500 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
